Path of Ascension :: Buildings
Bone's House of Pain
This area is a weapons store. It houses the merchants that sell all sorts of weapons, from
slashing, exotic to mage specific. Have fun!
Clan [uBp]™ House
The Clan [uBp]™ house currently contains quite a few things for members...
These things include a Clan [uBp]™ store with special items only for Clan [uBp]&trade members,
an appearance changer (in case you don't like how you look), multiple Clan [uBp]™ Loot splitters (which
differ from the public ones; they ID things and you get the full price, not the un-IDed prices), a Clan [uBp]™
bank (no transaction costs), a Clan [uBp]™ priest that does lots of fun things (including re-leveling,
healing and free teleportation to your party leader), and now even an item forge for putting all sorts
of special goodies on your items...
Of course, this is only available for members and members only. (Click
here to submit a join request to become a member).
Enforcer's Office and Town Hall
The enforcers are basically
"mini-DMs" on the server. They handle problems with players all
the time and this is their little corner of the world. If you are sent
there it means they want to talk with you away from distractions (such as other
players and bad guys). The only way in and out is if the enforcer wishes
it to happen. Remember: BE NICE!
Farmer Goober's House
Farmer Goober is usually a very nice guy. He plants corn, tends to his
chickens. Lately, though, he's been acting very weird. His chickens
have left, strange noises are coming from his house... Perhaps you should
go check out what's going on in there (but wait until you're a high level).
He also has some fields next to town that he used to farm, however they have
fallen into disrepair...
Haunted House
The haunted house is another work in progress. The first floor is complete
and the second floor is also done. The basement, however, has been mapped
out but as of yet has not been attached to the rest of the house and no enemies
have been placed.
The first floor is a great place to go if you're level 8 to 17 or 19 (depending
on class and other things) to "power-level". Although this
practice is discouraged, we decided to put in a place for those of you looking
for a "quick buck" so that you wouldn't interfere with other people
willing to go out and really fight things and EARN their XP.
Of course, the basement won't be as easy as the first floor...
Haunted Mansion
The haunted mansion is another work in progress. The first floor is complete,
however the basement is mapped
out but as of yet has not been attached to the rest of the house and no enemies
have been placed.
The first floor is a great place to go if you're level 18 to 27 or 29 (depending
on class and other things) to "power-level". Although this
practice is discouraged, we decided to put in a place for those of you looking
for a "quick buck" so that you wouldn't interfere with other people
willing to go out and really fight things and EARN their XP.
Of course, the basement won't be as easy as the first floor...
Jail
In real life, if you attack somebody (and possibly kill somebody), you go to
jail. If you try to rob somebody, you go to jail. If you damage
things (and get caught) you go to jail. In the game, if you do
these things in town, you'll go to jail. If you do these things outside of
town, you probably won't go to jail (unless it was a DM or a DM saw it and they
want to punish you for it). If you try to rob the bank, you'll go to jail.
There are three ways out of jail. You can wait for the warden (it may take
him a minute or two to get there). You can ask a DM nicely to get you out
(they may or may not do it, depending on the thing you did to get in there in
the first place and how much you've apologized for it). You can go to
hell. (That last one is only going to happen if you really piss off a DM).
Public Bank
The public bank is just as the name implies... A bank for the
masses. Unfortunately, it costs money to run a bank, and therefore the
bank passes on that cost to the customer taking a bit of your money every time
you do a transaction with the bank. And don't be scared of the bank
employees or the guards; they're there to protect you and your money, and
they are the best guards that money can buy.
Also, inside the public bank are the "public loot splitters".
There are six of these gems, free to use. Just open one up and place items
in it (no containers) and *poof* you get money back. The public loot
splitters are a slight bit different from the Clan [uBp]™ private splitters, as
the public one does not ID things before selling them (thus getting you less
gold then the Clan [uBp]™ one does. And, of course, the Clan [uBp]™ Bank does not charge for
any transactions made in the bank (another perk of becoming
a member).
Trespasser's Tavern
The Trespasser's Tavern is a place
where characters can go and get drunk. Also available are "exotic
dancers", slot machines, and a nice jade statue that's missing some
teeth. You can get a drink (or two, or three) from the bartender and
even challenge the seasoned drinker to a drinking contest. You may pass
out before he does though...
Trespasser's Tavern also suffers from a bit of a rat problem. The rats
seem to keep their distance from the people in the first floor, but in the cellar
they have taken it over. Rats are fairly easy to kill, but people just
don't seem to care any more. So if you're a low level person and looking
for something really easy, go through the back door into the cellar and take
care of some vermin.
